Sustainability
The 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30), held in Belém-PA in November 2025, brought together representatives from approximately 195 countries and stakeholders from the public, private, and civil society sectors, establishing itself as a historic milestone in the global climate agenda. For the first time, the event was hosted in the heart of the Amazon, bringing to the center of discussions the need to accelerate the energy transition with social justice, the trajectory to limit global warming to 1.5ºC, the urgency of forest protection, and the role of territories. Represented by Ana Carolina Dias (energy transition manager and e-mobility specialist) and Rox Corrêa (innovation and climate change manager), Mitsidi participated in the conference with a broad and integrated presence, acting in three essential spaces of the COP: the Blue Zone, the Green Zone, and the Yellow Zone. In each, it contributed technical knowledge, institutional coordination, female leadership, and support for the implementation of climate solutions, reinforcing its role as an international reference think tank, recognized by On Think Tanks (OTT).
Mitsidi & UN Global Compact – Brazil Network One of the highlights of Mitsidi's performance was the presentation of the Roadmap for the Decarbonization of Brazilian Road Transport, a technical study developed by the Mitsidi intelligence team for the UN Global Compact – Brazil Network. The document offers technological and economic pathways to transform one of the highest greenhouse gas emitting sectors in the country, analyzing alternatives such as renewable biodiesel, green diesel (HVO), biomethane, battery electric vehicles, and green hydrogen-powered vehicles. The study also advances the discussion on climate finance, proposing incentive models and governance instruments capable of accelerating innovation in the sector. During COP30, this work was presented in two decisive environments: Green Zone and Blue Zone.
National Transport Confederation (CNT) Ana Carolina Dias (Mitsidi), technical coordinator of the Biofuels and Electric Hub project, which based the Roadmap, was a panelist during the official launch at the National Transport Confederation (CNT) space in the Green Zone, expanding the dialogue with companies, civil society, and academia.

IBAM, CCBC & IYNC
Mitsidi’s presence in the Blue Zone—a space reserved for diplomatic and technical debates between government representatives and multilateral organizations—highlights its prominence and leadership in the energy transition and decarbonization sector. Represented by Rox Corrêa, we participated in the panel "Sustainable Fuel Production: Chemical Climate Solutions," held at the Resilient Cities Pavilion, as part of the official event program. The panel was promoted by IBAM – Environmental Good Institute and the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (CCBC), increasing the international visibility of the study and, consequently, of Mitsidi. The success of the Roadmap launch in the Green Zone led to a new invitation to present and debate the topic in the Blue Zone. Our energy transition manager and e-mobility specialist, Ana Carolina Dias, was called to contribute at the International Youth Nuclear Congress (IYNC) Pavilion. Another reason for pride for Mitsidi.

Participation in these two spaces reflects Mitsidi's ability to act in both policy formulation and the dissemination of practical solutions for the Brazilian territory.
COP30 was also the stage for important advances in the gender and climate agenda, and Mitsidi was prominently present. Rox Corrêa's participation in the Women Leading on Climate (WLOC) and Climate & Women at COP (C&MC) initiatives consolidated her role as a female leader in the energy transition. As leader of the Energy Transition and Infrastructure axis, Rox strengthened Mitsidi's role in advocating for a just and inclusive transition, coordinating the preparation of the Technical Note, focusing on women's leadership, delivered to the COP30 Presidency—a relevant contribution to the process of updating Brazilian NDCs.

The WLOC Brazil Chapter initiative, which also had direct support from Ana Carolina Dias, integrated the international WLOC project, coordinated by the Institute for Climate and Society (iCS) and the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEBDS), reinforcing our commitment to increasing female leadership in climate decisions. The event took place at the Jambu Dialogues in the Green Zone. Mitsidi’s female leadership was also present in the National Pact for Gender Equity in Energy, especially through the Women for Energy and Efficiency (WEE) Network, of which Mitsidi was a precursor. On November 17, at the Belém Museum of Art, Ana Carolina Dias participated in the panel "Women in Energy Transition Leadership," which presented the results of an unprecedented survey involving more than a thousand women in the energy sector.
Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) and Net-Zero Mitsidi submitted its Science-Based Targets for small and medium-sized enterprises, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining minimum emissions in scopes 1 and 2 and reducing scope 3 emissions by 2030. Rox Corrêa represented Mitsidi at the SBTi workshop in the Blue Zone. The meeting discussed the revision of the Corporate Net-Zero methodology, being built collaboratively with experts worldwide.
Reaffirming its commitment as a B Corp, Mitsidi signed the B Movement Manifesto for COP30 titled “Stakeholder Governance: a structural response to the climate crisis.” The document proposes a business governance vision based on interdependence. Rox Corrêa actively participated as a member of the B Energy Collective.
Collaborative Action Platform Brazil (CAP) Mitsidi's performance in the Yellow Zone, known as the “COP of the outskirts,” reinforced the company's concern with climate justice and local development. In partnership with the BMW Foundation, the company joined the Local Protagonism working group at the Collaborative Action Platform Brazil (CAP), contributing to mapping and strengthening Amazonian and peripheral leadership. CAP seeks to scale local solutions to face climate vulnerabilities, with potential for international replication.

With the participation of Rox Correa, Mitsidi’s contribution involved technical support, strategic coordination, and financial input, allowing diverse Brazilian voices to be represented in climate discussions and connecting community agendas to global decisions. Mitsidi arrived at COP30 with a solid contribution: technical studies, analytical capacity, experience in climate governance, and a team of specialists recognized for their work in decarbonization, energy efficiency, and just transition. It returned with strategic lessons, new international connections, a deeper methodological understanding of topics like SBTi and Net Zero, opportunities for cooperation with multilateral organizations, and fundamental insights into public policies, climate finance, and territorial inclusion. The conference also strengthened themes that Mitsidi has been leading, such as female protagonism, bioenergy innovation, e-mobility, economic instruments for decarbonization, and energy transition governance.
Mitsidi’s multi-zone participation at COP30 highlights its ability to engage with governments, companies, civil society organizations, and territorial leaders, acting as a bridge between science, policy-making, and the implementation of solutions.
Being present at this edition held in Brazil, with the Amazon at the center of discussions, allowed the company to reinforce its commitment to the energy transition, connect with strategic partners, and contribute to debates that speak directly to our purpose and the real challenges of the sector. More than just following the negotiations, Mitsidi provided technical content, built relevant connections, and returned with new learnings and opportunities to drive solutions that support decarbonization and sustainable development in the country.
Consolidated as a global think tank specializing in energy transition, decarbonization, and energy efficiency, Mitsidi remains committed to supporting governments, companies, and communities in transforming climate commitments into concrete, lasting, and evidence-based results.
