Challenge

Creating a Buyers Club for efficient, low-GWP air conditioning (AC) in Brazil to promote energy efficiency and the transition to cleaner refrigerants.

Mitsidi Performance

- Project design based on energy/financial pre-diagnosis of bank branches;

- Development of business models for financing, feasibility studies, savings estimates, payback, and emissions analysis;

- Assessment of subnational adoption challenges.

Results

Mapping the decision-making process for AC equipment; mapping potential partners for the Buyers Club;
Mapping government initiatives for HFC reduction in residential AC in line with the Kigali Amendment.
