Energy Audit for Public Buildings in the State of Sergipe

Challenge

Conducting energy audits in representative buildings to identify measures applicable to the entire portfolio and generate technical and economic indicators to guide actions for companies contracted via public bidding.

Mitsidi Performance

Coordination of technical processes, including field energy audits, data collection and validation, energy balance reporting, categorization of efficiency measures, sizing of photovoltaic systems, extrapolation to the building universe, digital tool development, drafting of Terms of Reference, and local team training.

Results

Audits in 37 buildings identified savings potential in 33, all with reductions exceeding 10%;
At the Sergipe Emergency Hospital, potential exceeds 1,989 MWh/year, equivalent to R$ 794k and 108 tCO₂e avoided;
State-wide extrapolation indicates R$ 21.8 million in energy efficiency investments and R$ 79.9 million in distributed generation, with a payback period of under 10 years.
