Characterize the energy consumption of primary and secondary public schools across 10 states in Northern Mexico, integrating social, economic, and environmental factors.
Energy audits, data analysis, technical scoping, and financial/legal feasibility studies. Developed a dynamic platform for school registration and real-time calculation of efficiency and PV measures, resulting in a financing-ready implementation plan.
The identified opportunities total 97 GWh/year in energy savings (27%), 40,000 tCO₂/year in emission reductions, and US$ 21.1 million/year in cost savings (29%).
Key measures include:
Efficient lighting (14.40 GWh; 847 tCO₂; US$ 3.44 million);
Efficient cooling (14 GWh; 5,718 tCO₂; US$ 3.06 million);
Distributed solar generation (82 GWh; 33,296 tCO₂; US$ 17.8 million).
